Check this out: Vatican declares that transgendered people do not exist. How lovely of them. Now I need to find a group of transgendered people to get together and declare that the Catholic Church doesn't exist. Maybe if I can get ahold of the text of this pronouncement, I'll rewrite it. Anyway, yet another reason to hate the Catholic Church. I'm just glad they didn't issue this idiotic statement before we got our non-discrimination bill through the legislature. But so far this apparently hasn't attracted much attention, so maybe the bad guys will miss it entirely.

Well, maybe it's petty of me, but who gives a rat's ass--it's my blog, so if you don't like it, don't read it. That said, I have to rant.

At social event, met two new people who praised us for our political involvement but then shortly thereafter started on that same old crap about how the leathermen at Pride give the rest of us a bad name (unlike "normal" people like them, of course.) I simply had to walk away and let other half answer this assertion because I have lost all patience. But the hugest irony of all is that this social event was hosted at the home of a guy who used to be the president of the local leather organization! Obviously these two didn't know that about the host, else they would not have come. It's like a homophobe trashing gays without realizing one is in the room. Anyway, I don't need to refute their charges here. It just pissed me off and made me sad but also made me laugh a little at the irony of it.

That aside, I am still existing with a sustained negativity and near-constant state of thwartedness. Need to take care of myself, but currently I do that mainly by eating a lot of sugar.
